A USO Story
"He's only 17 and other than a flight when he was a baby, had only flown one other time. I was worried about him but when he landed he called and was so excited!
He was like, "Mom! Some people must have known I was going to basic because they came up to me and invited me to go to the USO. They had pizza and soda and I got my money out to pay for it and it was all FREE!"
He was very humbled by everyone telling him "thanks" for enlisting. It brought tears to this mom's eyes to hear the pride he was already developing as a new Soldier even before he set foot on the Army Base.
